I'm a so excited to share this before and after with you. One of my favorite projects last year was this design in Palos Verdes, California. If you have never visited this part of L.A. I highly recommend it. I lived close to this area in Redondo Beach. Palos Verdes is wonderful because it's close to the beach, yet has a ranch country vibe as well. It's an equestrian area with neighborhoods full of 1960's ranch homes. It's a great place to get a mix of country, beach with breathtaking views. It's also a nice location out of the hustle and bustle of L.A. All of these geographic elements inspired this design. Oh and of course the clients very inspiring Pinterest boards. I always start with the ever so important pins. Without them I feel blind to what the clients personal style is. It's farm house touch with a dash of coastal style. My favorite is how the shiplap fireplace turned out. This was my suggestion for giving the fireplace an update without having to remove all that brick. I suggested adding shiplap over the existing brick. Here are the before and after photos. You can see how the right furniture, decor and fireplace update go a long way in transforming a space.
