I just came across these before and after photos of a design I did a few years ago in Palos Verdes, Ca. This home is situated on a lovely property equipped with a barn. Palos Verdes is a very equestrian area, yet also close beautiful beaches. I took style inspiration from the area to create a coastal ranch design. My favorite part of this design is how we updated the fireplace. I created a design concept with detailed drawings to panel over the top portion of the brick. We then updated the mantel, added floating shelves, sconces and bench cushions with pillows. Viola! It looks like a whole new fireplace!
