What is better than getting an after photo from a client!? It's such a great way to start the week. This client in New York had a space behind the main seating in their Living Room that needed some love. The main seating area has two sofas and two swivel chairs already. Adding a loveseat or more chairs seemed like one too many chairs or sofas. I decided to take things in a reading nook direction with a chaise lounge. The chaise creates additional seating in a cozy way while not feeling like a showroom of chairs and sofas. The balance of gold modern finishes mixed with natural woods creates a glam yet inviting balance. The textures in the rug, pillows and throw blankets bring in that cozy vibe. Lastly bringing in real or faux plants brings the outdoors in. Clustering plants in groups of three and at different heights always seems to be the right mix. This corner has become a new favorite for this clients. I think it's a new favorite of mine as well. I will be right over with my book and coffee. Tell me about your space? No project is too big or small for Decorator in a Box. In four easy steps on the website you can be on your way to a custom interior design.
