Before & After :: Stunner Laundry Room in Cardiff, CA

Hi All! I hope your Tuesday is treating you well. It has been a busy season for Decorator in a Box. I hope to be sharing more photos with you in the future. 

Who says laundry can't be fun? Well it certainly can when you have a laundry room like this stunner. I have had so much fun working with this client over the years in Cardiff, California. They always execute my design and vision so well. 

The mission in this laundry room was to create more functional space with updated and elevated style. This room always felt a little bit too small for this family of six. We opened up the space with a new cabinet layout and eliminated the heavy and awkward door. The original plan was to close off the laundry room at the end of the hallway. However the laundry room is so gorgeous there is no need to do this. Plus leaving the space open makes it more functional. This part of the home gets heavy and constant use no time for fussing with a door. My favorite feature is the lovely cle` tile backsplash. I think the tile is what the kids call the "drip" of the room. Ok I probably shouldn't try using that word.  I also love the combination of white and gray cabinets with the white oak accent shelves. The final touch is with the accessories. The client framed an old photo of the laundry line from the farm she grew up on. I love this detail so much. Time to get some laundry done!
