Handmade in Brooklyn :: Spratters & Jane Home Collection

I'm beyond excited to announce the launch of the Spratters & Jane Home Collection! My extremely creative cousin started the fashion line in 2009. The line was born after a complete stranger in SoHo demanded to buy the scarf she had handmade and was wearing right then and there. Now we can all have a little S & J in our home decor. In almost all my Decorator in a Box designs I look for that super chunky throw blanket to add texture and a cozy vibe to the space. I always finish a bedding ensemble off by adding a warm throw blanket. I'm also a huge fan of sweater style pillows on a bed or chair for added warmth. It's extremely hard for me to find those throws or pillows that have dramatic texture and quality. Often times things look too factory made and thin ....well because they are. The dedication to quality craftsmanship of the Spratters & Jane Collection is like nothing I have seen before. These pillows and throws are all made by hand in a sustainable and ethical way. Owner and designer Rachel Warner is committed to sourcing the best materials and supporting women in their craft in the process. This isn't just any yarn these products are made with it's "Art Yarn".  These yarns are on the cutting edge of the industry. Just look at her collaboration with Steph Gorin making Loop Handspun yarn. The best part is that this is all being handmade in Brooklyn. What feels better than supporting your local artist and creators?
