I have said it before and I’ll say it again. Taking your formal living/dining space and converting it into an office/den is a smart solution. Well that is if you work a lot from your home office. This also works nicely if you have kids of homework age. Formal rooms do not get used in our house. Our family likes to hang in the kitchen and family room. This creates wasted space and which then takes up space in my brain thinking of design solutions. That is why I’m now pinning away family office ideas for our formal living room. I envision a space where my husband and I can both work at the same time. Plus my daughters can sit with us doing their homework. I don’t know when this will happen, but for now my design wheels are turning and will be until I make this ideas come to life. Would you turn your formal dining or living room into a den or office? Do you need help with a space in your home? Let me help with all those tough design decisions. Let’s start a custom Decorator in a Box today.
